Narcissists hide best in plain sight.
They charm.
They confuse.
They control.
And most dangerously — they make you question you.
I created Narc Spotlight for one reason:
To expose the tactics narcissists use to manipulate, distort, and destroy — and help you see clearly again.
Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
And once you understand it, you start to heal from it.
Who I Am
I’m Sandra Iliya — a writer and researcher focused on narcissistic abuse, toxic relationship patterns, and emotional recovery.
I know this subject from the inside out — not just from research, but from lived experience. I spent years inside a relationship that slowly dismantled my sense of reality, piece by piece, until I barely recognized the woman looking back at me in the mirror. Leaving was hard. Understanding what had happened took longer.
What started as my own journey to make sense of the confusion became something larger: a deep study of how narcissistic abuse works, why it’s so hard to see from the inside, and what genuine recovery actually looks like — not the sanitized version, but the real one.
I’ve spent years studying psychology, trauma responses, and relationship dynamics — reading the research, following the experts, and testing everything against real-world experience. The combination of personal history and serious study is what drives every piece I write on this blog.
I write under a pen name to protect my privacy — but everything I share comes from a real place. The confusion was real. The recovery was real. And the clarity that comes afterward? That’s real too.
What You’ll Find Here
Narc Spotlight isn’t therapy. It’s not theory.
It’s not sugarcoated. And it’s definitely not watered down.
It’s a growing collection of:
- Tactic breakdowns — the mental games narcissists play
- Psychological insights — how they operate and why they do it
- Real-world examples — so you can spot red flags before they spread
- Empowerment tools — to protect your clarity, sanity, and self-worth
- Stories that resonate — because sometimes, the most powerful thing you can say is: “Me too.”
Why the Name?
Narc Spotlight exists to do one thing:
Shine light on what narcissists work so hard to keep hidden.
Because truth thrives in light.
And narcissistic abuse only survives in silence, confusion, and shadows.
This is your place to take back the narrative — with clarity, with strength, and with eyes wide open.
Final Note
If you’ve ever:
- Felt like you were going crazy after dealing with someone charming but toxic
- Been blamed for things you didn’t do

- Or sensed something was off, but couldn’t explain what or why...
You’re in the right place.
Let’s pull back the mask.
Let’s study the playbook.
Let’s build sharper instincts — together.
Welcome to Narc Spotlight.
It’s time to stop doubting your gut and start trusting your eyes.
